The Hong Kong Aviation Forum welcomes the government's decision to ease inbound travel restrictions.
The Chief Executive, Mrs Carrie Lam, had announced today (21 March) that the place-specific flight suspension mechanism (flight ban) will be lifted from 1 April. Quarantine in designated quarantine hotels for inbound arrivals will shorten from 14 days to 7.
'The adjustment of inbound restrictions is a step forward for the aviation industry. We are hopeful to see the further easing of inbound restrictions, such as allowing home quarantine, further shortening the quarantine period and the resumption of quarantine-free travel. A phase-by-phase reopening can strengthen Hong Kong's position as an international aviation hub', the spokesperson for the forum said.
