ULTIMATE GUIDE TO HONG KONG

Latest update: â€‹â€‹

  • From 1 April:

    • All pre-departure and post-arrival quarantine and testing requirements have been removed

    • Health and Quarantine Information Declaration System has ceased operation

  • From 1 March, face coverings are no longer required on flights to or from Hong Kong (unless the destination/origin requires), at Hong Kong International Airport and other public places

  • From 6 February, the vaccination requirement will be lifted

  • Ferry and cross-boundary coach service between Hong Kong International Airport and the Chinese Mainland have gradually resumed

  • From 30 January, persons who test positive are no longer subject to mandatory isolation

  • From 29 December:

    • PCR tests on arrival are abolished

    • Arrivals are advised to conduct daily RATs for five days

    • Health declaration form is no longer mandatory

    • Pre-departure RAT test requirement remains

  • From 14 December, arrivals are no longer required to undergo 3-day medical surveillance.

GENERAL INFORMATION

  • All COVID-19 travel restrictions have been removed

    • All travellers (regardless of nationality and vaccination status) are allowed to enter Hong Kong SAR

    • Testing, medical surveillance and quarantine are no longer required before departure and on arrival

STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE

  1. Arrive in Hong Kong (Day 0)​

    • baggage reclaim and immigration procedure

    • You can:

      • take public transport 

      • freely enter different venues 

  2. You are advised to conduct RAT daily​  until Day 5

BEFORE FLYING TO HONG KONG

Pre-departure testing

  • You are no longer required to conduct a COVID-19 RAT test and obtain negative results. â€‹

Proof of vaccination 

  • Unvaccinated persons may board flights to Hong Kong.​

​

Optional Health Declaration Form  

  • The Health and Quarantine Information Declaration System has ceased operation from 1 April.​

  • With travel restrictions easing, the Cathay Pacific Fly Ready pre-verification portal has ended.

AFTER ARRIVAL AT HONG KONG INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT ​

  • After completing immigration and baggage reclaim, you may leave the airport by public transport (i.e. Airport Express, Airport Bus, Taxi) or self-arranged transport.

 

HEALTH ADVICE​

  • You are advised to conduct a RAT test daily until Day 5.​ 

​

TESTED POSITIVE

  • Arrivals who tested positive are treated in line with local case arrangements and are not required to isolate or declare positive results.

​

EXAMPLE 

If you arrive on 14 December:​

  • You conduct a RAT and photograph the negative results on  13 December

  • You are advised to conduct RAT Test daily until 19 December
