The Hong Kong Aviation Forum welcomes the proposal of reviewing travel restrictions, including reducing quarantine and allowing home quarantine.
Chief Executive-elect, Mr John Lee, said he plans to review the mandatory quarantine measures for incoming travellers, including suggestions to isolate at home or reduce the number of days required to stay in designated hotels.
Secretary for Health (designate), Professor Lo Chung-mau, said he would consider reducing the hotel quarantine period to five days or even shorter.
'It is encouraging to see the review of travel restrictions. The proposed relaxation is conducive to Hong Kong's position as an international aviation hub. By opening up phase-by-phase, we could rebuild our aviation hub', the spokesperson for the forum said.
