The Hong Kong Aviation Forum welcomes the government's decision to adjust inbound control measures.
The government had announced that various inbound control measures would be adjusted from 1 May. It includes relaxing the trigger threshold for the route-specific flight suspension mechanism, lifting the ban on non-Hong Kong residents entering Hong Kong, and shortening the quarantine for aircrew.
'The adjustment of inbound control measures is a further step forward for the aviation industry, following the adjustment on 1 April. We are hopeful to see the further easing of inbound control measures, such as lifting the route-specific flight suspension mechanism, allowing home quarantine, further shortening the quarantine period, and the resumption of quarantine-free travel. A phase-by-phase reopening is conducive to Hong Kong's position as an international aviation hub', the spokesperson for the forum said.
