Cathay 'Halo Suites' First Class Coming to Boeing 777-9 in 2025

According to One Mile at a Time, Cathay Pacific's upcoming Boeing 777-9 aircraft is set to introduce a luxurious first-class experience with four new Halo First Class Suites.

Arranged in a 1-1 configuration, these suites can be merged to form a lavish, larger suite, potentially featuring amenities like a private restroom and even bunk beds to accommodate families.

The patent filing presents an inventive solution to elevate the first-class experience on commercial aircraft. By incorporating reconfigurable cabin modules, the design accommodates both separate cabins and expansive suites, allowing passengers to choose their preferred setup.

The proposal of a singular central aisle in the first-class section not only enhances seat width but also eliminates the need for passengers to navigate galley areas.

This innovative layout, combined with a Y-shaped aisle transition from a twin-aisle business class, maximises space efficiency while ensuring seamless passenger movement.

The layout of Cathay Pacific's new Halo Suites bears resemblance to the Etihad Residence and underlines the airline's commitment to providing passengers with a high level of luxury and convenience.
